How should I do my make-up as a bridesmaid in a wedding?

My bridesmaid's dress is periwinkle and strapless. Anyway, I am very tan and have almond shaped almost black eyes. (I am not oriential, but my eyes look like I might be 1/2 or 1/4) What should I do for eye make up? Should I use periwinkle eye shadow? What about eye liner? I use black eyeliner everyday to make my eyes "pop". What should I do for this occation???

I say lavender eyeshadow...it looks gorg when ure wearing pastel colors...and I would suggest some blush and pink lipgloss...dont overdo it...weddings are a happy event...no drastic makeup!
Reply:You should keep your makeup as natural as possible. DO NOT match your eye shadow to your dress. Either use a a natural beige or taupe with some sparkle or go for the smoky eye look. If you are doing a dramitic eye, go very natural on the lip. a sheer pink gloss would look nice. Do not over-do the blush, keep it light and natural.





You may want to try to go to a couple of department store makeup counters for tips, which could be hit or miss, or just try a few websites and practice on your own until you find a look you are comfortable with.

Reply:Please do not make the mistake of matching your eyeshadow to your dress. The best thing is probably emphasize your eyes and make them kinda smokey. Dont' wear black eyeliner though cuz most likely there will be some crying involved. I think a dark gray or dark metallic brown would look good. Try MAC products...they have a great range of color
Reply:What time is the wedding? If it is 5 or earlier, be very natural and subtle. 6 or later can be a little more dramatic.


The most important thing is to not upstage the bride, and your make-up should be similar to the other bridesmaids.
Reply:i'd say go light on the make up because you dont want it to look like you are trying to steal the spot light, go with a light pink or purple(periwinkle) and little to no eyeliner. maybe a light pink blush and some lip gloss.
Reply:do something nice and natural, its a wedding. do something easy so you dont have to go through the hassle of reapplying make-up every 20 mins.do the black eyeliner and a nice light eyeshadow.. you should also ask the bride for some advice she should be good help
