Is periwinkle a flowering plant?

It is the name of a snail, a couple of plants, and a color.

Is periwinkle a flowering plant?
Yes, there is a flowering plant we Know Nothing Gardeners* called periwinkle. It has tiny purple, white or pink flowers and it doesn't die out in moderate climates during the winter. It spreads quite well, is up to about 6" tall.

* A Know Nothing Gardener thinks all roses are "roses" and wouldn't know a prize rose from a scrub brush and call everything either a tree or a flower or a rock. We don't know the "real" names of things and leave it to the pets to fertilize. So don't take my word on the periwinkle question. It's just my Know Nothing answer. :-)
Reply:it is if u are talking about the plant. periwinkle is also a colour
Reply:According to my dicitionary:

Periwinkle is a desaturated color in the blue-violet family. Its name is derived from the lesser periwinkle or myrtle herb (Vinca minor) which bears flowers of the same color.
Reply:Yes. The first post gave you a link to a picture.
