Need Wording Suggestions and Ideas for my Beach Themed Wedding...?

I’m doing a beach themed wedding in April 2008 with about 150 people. We are having the reception and the wedding all in the same banquet hall room. Our colors are Periwinkle, dark purple and white.

I’ll be creating a “pirate’s chest” card box, with beads, fake jewels, gold wrapped chocolate coins…and for favors, I’m going to give away little periwinkle bags of 5 gold wrapped chocolate coins.

I would like to put a card on the Pirate’s chest table, somehow tactfully explaining that it is a card box…and saying something about the coin favors….something about “treasure” or “fortune” or “bounty”…(NO Booty…LOL) thanking people for joining us in our good fortune at finding each other or something like that…something fun that will go along with the theme. I also need wording for the little tags to attach to the chocolate coin bags, again with the treasure, fortune or something similar.

Any suggestions on wording? More suggestions on the beach theme?

Favor wordings- "One day of true love is better than a life time of gold. Thanks for sharing in our fortune."

"We found our buried treasure- in each other."

Card box wordings-

"May these coins return the fortune that your wishes bestow to us."
Reply:You could try a simple thank you like--To the many Pirates of the Caribbean, we would like to take this time to say thank you for helping, encouraging, and supporting our life long treasure of love for one another. And then you could go with the empty bottle idea just be sure to add a cork. LOL. And don't forget the shells. Hope this helps.
Reply:I would say that you don't need any sign near the treasure chest to designate it as your card box. Just have your bridal party and close family members put their cards in first, and other guests will get the idea. Also, if you have it set up on the gift table, most guests can figure it out for themselves. Just to be sure, however, you may want to ask someone to keep an eye on that area and help out any guest that may be confused.

This is a cute quote:

If love is the treasure, laughter is the key. - Yakov Smirnoff

Thank you for celebrating our joyful day with us.

"Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure: where your treasure, there your heart; where your heart, there your happiness." -- Saint Augustine (354-430

A Friend is a treasure. More precious than Gold, For love shared is priceless And never grows old.
Reply:Sounds cool, however your colours don't go with a beach theme at all!
Reply:It sounds like you're going more for pirate theme than beach theme...we're having a beach themed reception, but using a muted turquoise and sandy color...I'm stuck on your sign wording...I'm sorry
Reply:A co-worker is throwing a beach wedding and for her centerpieces she is having (I think hurricane) glasses with sand and shells in them.

Another idea would be to get floating candles in the shape of flowers as center pieces.

OrientalTrading.com has a TON of ideas for beach themed weddings!!!
Reply:the invitations should be rolled up and placed into plastic bottles. U can add sand in it. Check out Oriental Trading company, they are inexpensive, they have what I am suggesting plus much more beach themed stuff. Congrats and good luck.
Reply:I think it would be tacky to put a sign on the card box. That's basically begging for money. People will know what it is for if you just put a card envelope in it so they can see that.

I love the coin bags, though! How about: "Sharing our good fortune with you", or "We treasure your presence here today".
