Periwinkles?

I live in Florida, should I cut my periwinkles down, they look terrible

Periwinkles?
Periwinkles (vinca) are pretty close to indestructible in most climates. They spread so rapidly that they can become invasive in some situations. Still, I like mine as a ground cover in certain areas of my yard, and the blue flowers in spring are quite pretty. When they look tacky, you can cut them back as far as you want, and they will regrow, thicker and more attractive than ever.
Reply:I have cut the Periwinkles back and cannot believe the large sort of trunk it has grown, I'm expecting it bloom big time again this next spring, thanks for the advice Report It

Reply:Just whack them off at 6" and they will sprout out thick and pretty next season.
