Has anybody ever have their bridesmaids wear a dress the color cornflower blue?

i would like to see some wedding pictures of this dress. we picked out mori lee style 870 and color cornflower blue satin dress. when we went to the store to match the color to the vest for the guys the sales associate matched us with periwinkle vest and tie and to us that looked more of a purple. my fiance picked out powder blue vest and tie. do you think that the powder blue would go better. you may view the dress at www.morilee.com click on bridesmaids enter style 870 and click on the color cornflower.our wedding is april 7, 2007. the groomsmen are wearing a white tux.

I used the cornflower blue for my January wedding.Powder blue would be close but not match and cornflower would not look that hot paired with periwinkle either. Actually cornflower is really light shade of blue and to pair it with something lighter would not look right.Cornflower actually matches with darker shades of blue like royal blue or even navy blue.These colors give it contrast and depth. I saw the effect of the cornflower and royal blue at my wedding and i was blown away.The girls looked great.

Reply:That 's a very pretty bridesmaid's dress, and I love the colors cornflower blue and periwinkle. However, periwinkle would be more purple than cornflower. I think the powder blue vests would look better. They don't have to match exactly to the bridesmaids dresses, but the more purple color wouldn't look as good. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.
Reply:Cornflower is quite a popular color. Would probably be best to stay away from any other blues though. See if you can find a complimentary color that is pleasing to you both instead.
Reply:i like that colour!! i went to the site and looked at that colour, and it's very pretty!! i think it would look better wither with a darker blue, or with the powder blue. perriwinkle is a combination of lavender and blue, so it will look odd.
