What wedding colors should I choose?

I am very into blues. I was thinking of blue, periwinkle, and white... but I am not sure if that is a good color combination. I read in an article that blues are the hardest to find nice flowers for. I was also considering pastel blue/pastel yellow/white... but I am afraid that will look too much like Easter.

My wedding is in June but it will not have a beach theme. I haven't decided on the theme yet either but that's another problem! :-) Definitely no beach them though. Please help. Any suggestions on colors with blue in it?

What wedding colors should I choose?
Well, first and foremost...it's your wedding. You can have it any way you want it. I do agree that you shouldn't have too many colors (it will make it look Easter-ish). I think you should keep it simple. White with pale blue accents will look great! With white as the main and blue as the secondary, your flowers should be in bold colors. It'll give a great dramatic affect. If dramatic is not what you're looking for, spring type flowers (pastel colors) will brighten the day.
Reply:if you're going to do it in the beach. try the color powdered blue with brown...im sure you will like it...since your fav color is blue.why not use it on the very special day of your life...t.c.

just give me some feedback on the color i suggested...
Reply:Go with really light blues and that way you don't have to worry about trying to match up darker blues. Really light blues are cool. I'm partial though because I got married in the fall and I went with fall colors and it was the whip!
Reply:If you like blues match them with silver .. white is a tough match blah color ..
Reply:I think a nice deep blue would be nice with white. Just because it'll be summer doesn't mean you have to go with pastel colors. I don't think theme weddings are nice. They remind me of little kid birthday parties. How about you just pick out a color combo decorate with that and add some flowers. White orchids would look so nice or you can always have roses. Good Luck :)
Reply:I got married in blue and it was lovely, we stuck to cream flowers which looked elegant, but as my wedding was informal I also had them add blue fluffy feathers to my pomander bouquet, it looked cute and added the splash of colour to tie in with my dress. Just also to say that blue looks really good with yellows, and also pinks, so you won't be stuck for colours for flowers, any decent florist can advise you of some good matches.
Reply:You can use any shade of blue you want and then add a punch of color with your flowers. Oranges, pinks, bright yellows, purples all look great with blues either in combination with white, combined together as a wildflower bouquet look or on their own. I can see gorgeous mango calla lillies with a deeper or brighter shade of blue like turquoise, lavender roses, purple freesia and yellow tigerlillies with a soft pastel blue, royal blue and pink stargazer lillies, or all of your favorites put together.

It's all your choice, you just have to make it...lol! Good Luck
Reply:purples always look good with blue. but if the blues light then the purple has to be too. lol hope this helped =)
Reply:Why don't you stay monochromatic with your colors. Do a periwinkle blue with a darker blue like royal or navy paired up with your white. It will look beautiful. Go to a paint store like Home Depot or Lowe's and match up a few paint swatches. They are free to keep and you can match up the combinations of colors you like. For a theme you can do something as simple as a monogram or repeating a certain shape throughout your reception like square vases and votive holders, square invitations and square menu cards.

Good Luck and Congratulations!
Reply:This might seem a little weird..Go to the local hardware store and get paint chips. These are samples of color usually done on laminated paper and that might give you a better idea of what shades of blue would look well together. I hope that helps.
Reply:look at a colour chart, maybe go for a "cool colour theme?" or look at blue and similar colours you like and the composition colour... good luck
Reply:It's your wedding, You do what ever makes you happy. I wanted two different shades of pink and white; I ended up with four shades of pink and white ' which looked good to my surprise. This Is Your Day! HINT try artificial flowers. I decorated my home with them after my special day
Reply:That's a huge decision Congratulations! light blue and pink could be combined to give you what you want. Above all it's a matter of choice.
Reply:Both of those color choices are beautiful. If you are really worried about the pastel colors maybe you could just use just a bit darker colors(of the same color). I'm getting married 8-8--08 and I have cornflower blue and yellow. This is your wedding so follow your heart on what you should do. This is a stressful time in your life and you want to be able to look back and have wonderful memories. I wish you the best and hope you have a wonderful life together!
Reply:Blue is a really nice color, but for a wedding light colors are really nice. Maybe try light blue. Since you really like blue.

Good Luck with your marriage!
Reply:don' worry with matching flower with blue, i think pale purple orchids are the best choice for the flowers. Even u can use 'em for ur hair specially if u have black hair. And for the dress, light blue with white or silver is my choice. good luck!
Reply:Light blue and white would my choice too.
