How should I paint my room (teenage girl)?

-I'm 17


-My walls are currently a few shades darker than periwinkle


-I LOVE change


-I'm considering lime green


-I have a large bed with white bedding and a very elaborate brass headboard.


-My room has five walls


-I also toyed with the idea of sponging metalic silver and gold over the current color.


Please be as creative as you desire...ANY idea are welcome. I want something hip, fun, and unique!

How should I paint my room (teenage girl)?
Lime green and silver! Perfect! I would paint four walls lime green and do a pattern that fits you like stripes or polka dots (or get a doily and use it for a pattern) of silver and then on the wall with your door paint it silver and do the pattern different in lime green.

A bedroom that I fell in love with had two colors on each half of these two sisters side of the bed(they had a bunk bed) they had one side that was like a pastel lime green,and the other was a light lavender! I really liked their idea..plus they had a ribbon from one end of the wall to another..and little clothes pins holding photos, with their friends and family hanging on them..as well as say a ribbon for something that they had won and also some jewelry and or a party invitation as well ! I was a nanny at that time, taking care of their little brother..and, he and I used to go by the room...he loved his big sisters sooo much and missed them when they weren't at home, so around the bend from his room we would walk to his sisters..and hang for a smidge!


I liked their room alot! It was filled with colorful items..and books and such..it was a great room!





I love places that are homey and comfy!

Reply:well, it depends on your budget. get a housepainter and tell him what you want. besides you are helping that poor painter feed his family
Reply:Lime green and brass. Too close to the same color. Should be med dark green which will contrast with the brass.
Reply:I wouldnt suggest it. Go with something more adult that you will be able to grow and appreciate. You may like change but someday it will be nice to work with your decoarating overtime and create a place you can apprectiate. I love finding things to match my room at random stores. It makes my room special and unique. Lime green will get old fast. Find a picture or decoration with colors that you love and work around it. Trust me in the end it will pay off!!!
